Dholera International Airport

To provide air connectivity to Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) an upcoming International Airport 15 km from the proposed activation area is being developed in an area of 1426 hectares of land.

Airports Authority of India (AAI) has prepared the Feasibility Report, and all necessary permissions have already been obtained. The Dholera International Airport is envisaged to cater to DSIR & its hinterland and traffic overflow from Ahmedabad International Airport.

The airport is slated to have two runways capable of handling wide-bodied long-haul aircraft such as the A380. Work on Dholera International Airport to start soon.

The Airports Authority of India has issued a tender for the first phase of the project, which includes the runway, taxiway, apron, etc. The `986.61 crore project will be executed on a public-private partnership basis and will be completed in 3 years.

Before Natalia’s village had a clean water tap, she often didn’t have time for school. Now, she goes to school every day and she’s the President of her local Water Committee. And she’s just getting started.

How do we tackle the water crisis?

We work with local experts and community members to find the best sustainable solution in each place where we work, whether it’s a well, a piped system, a BioSand Filter, or a system for harvesting rainwater. And with every water point we fund, our partners coordinate sanitation and hygiene training, and establish a local Water Committee to help keep water flowing for years to come.
