Desalination Plant at Dholera

With the demand for water increasing, desalination serves a vital need across the world. Not only is desalination an excellent means for developing potable water, but it is also a way to ensure the health and longevity of those who consume it. A feasibility study for a pilot project for the construction of the Desal plant in the range of 10 to 50 MLD is in progress. The infrastructure is planned to ensure water for the next 30 years.

Clean water helps keep kids in school, especially girls.

Collecting less water means more time in class. Clean water and proper toilets at school mean teenage girls don’t have to stay home for a week out of every month.

How do we tackle the water crisis?

We work with local experts and community members to find the best sustainable solution in each place where we work, whether it’s a well, a piped system, a BioSand Filter, or a system for harvesting rainwater. And with every water point we fund, our partners coordinate sanitation and hygiene training, and establish a local Water Committee to help keep water flowing for years to come.
